Dr. Rosario Di Maggio

Dr. Rosario Di Maggio is a hematologist with expertise in gene therapy and stem cell transplants for thalassemia and sickle cell anemia. After completing his studies in Palermo, he gained experience at the National Institutes of Health in Maryland, and later at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. In New York, Dr. Di Maggio played a key role in supervising patients undergoing gene therapy, marking significant advancements in the fight against thalassemia. He currently works at the Campus of Hematology Franco and Piera Cutino in Palermo.
