Derek Holmes

Mr. Holmes is currently the Founder and CEO of Tec-Link, a nationwide information technology professional and value-added reseller services firm.  Tec-Link provides computer hardware and software commodities acquisition support to global technology developers and manufacturers.  Our strategic distribution partners move technology software and devices into the marketplace worldwide. For the past 20+ years we’ve provided channel services for companies like HP, Microsoft, IBM, and DELL.  Tec-Link has served both government and private sector businesses in healthcare, financial, and automotive…while our expansion into low-voltage technology device installation has added construction.

Mr. Holmes is a believer and catalyst for community progress and wellness and has served on local boards with Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Hillsborough Public Schools IT Committee, Clive City Council, Central Iowa American Red Cross, and United Way of Central Iowa.  Holmes has been the recipient of awards from the State of Iowa Governor’s Office, Boy Scouts of America, John PappaJohn Entrepreneurial Institute, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Mr. Holmes holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Drake University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Mathematics from Loras College.  Professional and life-long continuances includes certificates from executive leadership programs and academies including Small Business Executive Program at Clark-Atlanta University.
